I think that Gary and Mike are trying to facilitate a trip for their group. They tried the Phoenix trip but there wasn't enough response for the specified dates. Anyone who has ever planned a group trip or run a group, of any size, knows how difficult it is to organize a function. I for one appreciate their attempts. The trip/function in Myrtle Beach is tied to the World Am Tournament which is held every year there the week before Labor Day Weekend. It's been an ongoing function for YEARS and draws anywhere from 3000-4000 golfers. Therefore they thought that if they tied a function to this week, since so many golfers played in the tournament that a DAG singles tournament/function might be easier to plan in conjunction with that event. I know that a lot of members would like to meet fellow single golfers for fellowship. I'm sure that if anyone has some constructive suggestions or remarks, they would appreciate them. Hi folks!
