While I personally don't think the photographer should snap a shot in Tiger's backswing; to snap it on the downswing would not affect his shot in the least whatsoever. Sometimes, though Tiger is rated the greatest current athlete in the world, I feel that Professional Golfers are coddled way too much. You would not see any other professional event (except perhaps Tennis) where such quiet is required of press and gallery. Can you imagine watching a basketball game and someone "shussing you" to be quiet? I bet you would chuckle right to their face. If you have actually witnessed the crowd watching Tiger when he usually plays, you will not only see that it is extremely difficult to see him close due to the number of people, but that there is also quite a bit of noise made that is louder than any camera click. In fact, most folks are so rude that they will start running after Tiger hits, to try to get a vantage place for his next shot, in total disrespect of any playing partner of Tiger's. I think that sometimes we tend to coddle professional athletes WAY, Way too much.

It seems most golf fans agree that Tiger Woods had reason to be upset. Most of us find it difficult enough to tee off when other people are watching sometimes so maybe we can relate to the distraction Tiger had.

Hopefully the PGA Tour will do something about this. If they made a rule that would result in the offending photographer being suspended for life from taking pictures on the tour, I'm sure no one would risk that.

The game of golf is a gentleman's or ladies sport.
What I mean by that is that you cann be either a man or woman, but you must have honor, integrity and you must be refined.

The photographer in this case was neither a ladt or gentleman. The photographer owes Tiger Woods an apology.

Perhaps it is time that only photographier with credential should be allowed on the golf course with a camera, during a PGA tournament.

I can only imagine what some writers would produce, if they were to be bombarded with calls every 10 seconds while they are writing an article; especially if they just had a wonderful idea and they had to answer the phone every time as there is no relief for them to turn off the phone and they are mandated by their job that they must answer the phone say within 5 rings.

These photogrphers do not necessarily have a vested interest in the outcome of the tournament(at least I am assuming that they do not.) I can only imagine what some of our lives would be if we were to have such disruption while doing our jobs. The reality is, most of us do not have this kind of disruption.

The photographer should apologize to Mr Woods and the photographer's insurance should pay Mr Woods for the distraction that he caused.

I agree with Steve. The photographers are getting out of hand. The photographer should apologize.
