BirdieGirl123: Let's Scramble!
About me
My worst first date was actually the next day. I opened my door to get my newspaper and there was a package from him- his CV and a ‘cover letter” saying, “now that I have found the future mother of my children, here is my resume is hopes of advancing our relationship at a more rapid pace.” Romantic-really? I think not.
What happened to discovering each other during long hikes in the mountains, at the base of a waterfall while picnicking on healthy snacks, appreciating the beauty around us and in front of us? What about the late nights by the fire with great jazz playing in the background and feeding each other morsels of locally grown and organic food? Or, testing our courage while taking the ‘screaming eagle’ ride on the zip line and sharing the rush of the thrill? Or the wonderful, delicious special night out that lasts for hours, lingering over dinner, talking about the intricacies of the play at the Alliance. What about learning about each other’s temperament over 18 holes? Or, sharing an evening at the symphony, discovering Mahler for the first time?

If you share similar views about dating and getting to know someone, I would love to hear from you. I want to connect if you
• Are open-minded and respect diversity
• Love to laugh and can see humor even in embarrassing moments
• Want me to play golf with you –SOMETIMES, because the guys are a standing Sat. morning foursome.
• Get why I gave up owning a car and reduced my carbon footprint
• Are committed to self discovery through life’s interactions in relationships and life experiences
• Would ask me to help you write the perfect marketing piece for your new business
• Respect animals, the earth and nature
• Eat your own popcorn and leave mine alone
• Care about your health and make choices accordingly
• Want me to go with you and your kids to 6 Flags and Whitewater
• Want to check out a new club with some local artists to hear music or the spoken word
We won’t connect if you
• Don’t laugh at my jokes- even if I am the only who thinks they are clever and oh, so funny!
• Have active addictions
• Are uncomfortable with my strength and ambition
• Can’t tolerate the lovely, candlelit, vegetarian dinner I cooked for you, including the tofu!
• Hunt and/or fish
• Are put-off because you have to bring your own wine to my home if you want a cocktail.
• Don’t like foot massages –giving or getting!
So, no resumes the next day please, but bring your whole, authentic, real self –let’s save playing games when we are in front of the fire or in the park-and when we do, game on!
