My background: My father was career military, an officer in the USAF, who was a part of the Greatest Generation who served during WWII. As most military families, we moved every 3 yrs as I was growing up. I'm grateful to have traveled so much over the years . We lived on both coasts, outside of Paris (not Texas), southern CA, where I fell in love with the beach boys (those my age and the band) when I was in Jr. HS. I went to HS in Washington DC, and graduated from college in South Dakota! Whew! College to Today, The cliff notes: I have worked in South Dakota, Iowa, Omaha, Chicago, St. Louis and Jax. Married 16 years and divorced in 2003, no kids. My family is extremely important to me. I have lost both of my parents in the last 4 years. My only sister lived in FL, which is why I moved here 4 years ago. Unfortunately, she and her husband recently moved to the mountains of NC. A bit about who I am: I am degreed, with a successful 30-year career. Professional, articulate and no longer in the corporate world. I am finally in control of my own time, as I am now consulting. I enjoy golf, but don't take it too seriously. It's about the camaraderie. I enjoy live theater, music and live performances, wine tastings, art festivals and great food. You'll always find me humming, if not singing out loud. Some days I just want to listen to talk radio. I love those "Car Tawk" guys. Other days sitcoms make me laugh and forget the day. My favorite meal is brunch/breakfast at home or OUT. Have you been to Metro Diner? Or Truffles? Not all the best restaurants are the most expensive. I can go from the top pick to a great hole in the wall. I enjoy cooking - nothing better than a home cooked meal. It's no fun cooking for one, will you bring the wine?
