I think as you grow you find not so much what you want, but more what you do not want (but you still have to compromise...sorry...it's reality). Bars are not an option to consider for me, nor is dating people from work, and that rather narrows the opportunity down. (The grocery store hasn't panned out). I don't have a problem showing or conveying emotions, and in fact am very drawn to someone who can do the same. I do know how to apologize when I am wrong, and have no fear admitting it. I am very easy going, and it doesn't take much to amuse me. I am not high maintenance and like fairly simple things. Bike riding, love the water, scuba diver, golf and nearly anything outdoor related are favorite activities (no, your interest, ability, or lack thereof is NOT a requirement for a relationship!). I do not have the burning desire to climb mountains or jump out of airplanes (I have done all that already). On the other hand, I don't do well sitting on the couch all day (although there are those days...ya know?). I have been known to walk into Border's or Barnes & Noble and spend 4 hours and not think twice about it. Movies and music are favorites as well. With each other there needs to be acceptable compromise because sometimes you give and sometimes you get. It just ebbs and flows like the tide I think. There should be the ability to have some autonomy with each other, but close enough not to find yourselves drifting apart too far. There is a rather large romantic streak inside, and find things such as a rainstorm to be rather thought provoking, along with notes left in a pocket to be found later, and silly things like going to the grocery store and cooking together. Like everyone I imagine, I have run into my share of "users" and would just as soon not do so again.
