I grew up in Pittsburgh, and later spent 12 years in Los Angeles. Recently I have also lived in Colorado, but now I am enjoying being back east. Pursuing the rare (but becoming less so) jobs in the solar energy field has led to these moves.

I'm looking to meet people who stimulate the right side of my brain, yet appreciate my overdeveloped left side. As a scientist/engineer, people with diverse interests are not that common in my field. Neither are women unfortunately. Being a guy, I guess looks are pretty important, but I'm attracted to a variety of looks. Of course, intelligence is important too. And personality. What kind of personality I am looking for is hard to describe. Again, I feel like it puts a person in a box. I guess we just have to talk or meet and see how we get along. Of course, if you end up thinking my particular brand of humor is funny, that's a big plus;) [not that I tried to say anything particularly funny in this introduction, so don't laugh yet]
